Obituary of Burden, Robert Maxwell
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Thursday, November 29th, 2012 of Robert " Bob " Maxwell Burden of Summerside, aged 66 years. Bob was born on November 21st, 1946 in Moncton, N.B. to his late parents Maxwell and Gladys ( nee Baxter ) Burden.
Beloved father of Michael Burden of Florida, Melanie Burden ( Pete ) of Florida, Misty Bernard ( Tommy Steele ) of Summerside and their mother Judy McLean of Florida , Maxwell and Henson Stewart and their mother Cheryl Stewart all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Vincent, Stormi, Hunter, Jade, Tristen and Fox and many nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Bayna ( David ) Arsenault of Summerside, Terry Burden ( Wayne ) of Medicine Hat, AB., Stephen ( Jan ) Burden of White Rock, B.C. and Bonnie ( Todd ) Lutes of Moncton, N.B..
Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Glynn Burden and his nephew Otis Hicks.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, December 8th, where a Memorial Service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m.. Memorial donations in Bob's memory to the Autism Society of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
