Obituary of Gallant, Roseline "Rose" Marie
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 of Roseline " Rose" Marie Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Mont Carmel, P.E.I., aged 68 years. Rose was born on July 3rd, 1944 in Mont Carmel to her late parents Ben and Leah ( nee Arsenault ) Gallant.
Survived by the following sisters: Eunice Gallant, Zella Belley and Aline ( Aurel ) Chaisson all of Ontario and Edna ( Gordon ) Rushton of Summerside, sisters in-law Betty and Ivy and several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, Rose was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Hermine ( Alphonse ) Richard, Margaret (in infancy ), Andrew, Nazaire, Glorice and Tilman, brothers in-law Roger Belley and Adrian Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, January 29th, then to St.Paul's Church Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30a.m. Interment to take place at Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel cemetery, Mont-Carmel at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rose's memory to the Cerebral Palsy Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
