Obituary of Chappell, Carl Douglas
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 of Carl Douglas Chappell of Summerside and formerly of Sherbrooke, P.E.I., aged 75 years. Carl was born on September 8th, 1937 in St. Eleanors to his late parents, Thomas and Hazel ( nee Thompson ) Chappell.
Survived by Jan Chappell of Nova Scotia and step daughter JoAnne Cameron of Ontario. Also lovingly remembered by 3 step grandchildren. Survived by his sister Sadie ( Edmund ) Doyle of Sherbrooke and nieces and nephew: Janet, Judy, Peggy and Edmund.
Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by his nephew Steven Doyle and step nephew Morgan Paynter.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, March 8th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Carl's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
