Obituary of Mallett, James Leonard
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 of James Leonard Mallett of Woodvale, P.E.I., aged 62 years. James was born on May 2nd, 1950 in St.Louis, P.E.I. to his late parents Wilfred and Roseanna ( nee Kelley) Mallett.
Special friend of Linda Prentice and loving father of Tammy Mallett ( Al Stevens ) of Oshawa, ON., Jason ( Natasha Haynes ) of Toronto, ON., stepson Rob ( Cara ) Myers of N.S. and stepdaughter Laura ( Kevin ) Crozier of Miscouche and his special Buddy "Skippy" the dog. Also lovingly remembered by 3 grandchildren Shawntay, Janayah and Cameron and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: George ( Evelyn ) of St. Louis, Austin ( Lorraine ) of Toronto, ON., Anna ( Emanuel ) Arsenault of St.Louis, Stephen of St.Louis, Bill ( Irene ) of Sudbury, ON., Philip ( Violet ) of NFLD., Florence ( Clifford ) Martin of Stratford, Ernest of St. Louis, Theresa ( Albert ) Thomas of Sherwood, Patrick ( Marie ) of St.Louis and Pauline Clark of Summerside.
Beside his parents James was predeceased by his brother Leonard, sisters in-law Pirkko and Mabel Mallett, niece Penny Mallett and nephew Glen Mallett.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, March 14th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in James's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
