Obituary of Newsome, Dianne Mary
The death occurred peacefully at her late residence on Thursday, October 24th, 2013 of Dianne Mary ( nee Bernard ) Newsome of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Tignish, P.E.I. aged 51 years. Dianne was born on January 22nd, 1962 in Alberton, P.E.I. to her parents Doris ( nee Pitre ) and the late Emile Bernard.
Beloved wife of Gary Newsome and loving mother of Ron (Rachel ) Jeffery and Erica Jeffery ( Cole Noonan ) all of Albany, P.E.I., Step children Kim Newsome of Digby, N.S. and Aaron Newsome ( Jana Keough ) of St.Eleanors. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Kali, Lucas, Keira, Jace and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sister Rose Bernard of Kildare, Paul Bernard of Borden, Lloyd ( Pam ) Bernard of Alberta, Gussie ( Heather ) Bernard of Pleasant View.
Besides her father, Dianne was predeceased by her daughter Tracy Jeffery and sister Angela Blanchard.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, October the 28th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Dianne's memory to the Prince County Hospital Oncology Unit would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
