Obituary of Gaudet, Joseph " Leo "
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Wednesday, November 20th , 2013 of Joseph " Leo " Gaudet of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 77 years. Leo was born on July 10th , 1936 in Miscouche, P.E.I. to his late parents Anthony and Eliza ( nee Gallant ) Gaudet.
Beloved husband of Marjorie ( nee Grady ) Gaudet and loving father of Dwane MacNeill of Summerside and Janice Goddard of Winnipeg, MB.. Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Bethany MacNeill of Ottawa, ON. along with numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Ida ( Lou ) Croken, Edna Haining, Clarence, Rose ( Gary ) Atcheson, Joseph, Delima Vatamaniuck, Martin, Loretta Gaudet, Clifford, Edie ( Wayne ) MacDonald and Linda ( Ken ) Sterling and also brothers-in-law James Wyatt, Grant ( Lynnie ) Grady, Benny ( Eleanor ) Grady and Stewart Grady.
Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his sisters Loraine Wyatt and Nel ( Carl ) Fitzpatrick, sister-in-law Audrey Gaudet and brother-in-law Fred Haining.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, November 25th, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Leo's memory to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
