Obituary of Linkletter, Harold Muttart

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Harold Muttart Linkletter peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, December 6th , 2013. Harold was born on November 17th, 1918 in Linkletter, P.E.I. to his late parents, Lloyd and Hettie ( nee Muttart ) Linkletter. Beloved husband of the late Elma ( nee Large ) Linkletter. He will be greatly missed by his children Helen ( Glen ) MacEachern of Stratford, David ( Nancy) of Linkletter, Shirley ( Robert ) Keezer of Freeland, Betty ( Don ) Milligan of Edmonton, AB. and special friend Lois MacDonald of Charlottetown. He was the respected and loved Bampy to his grandchildren Heather Linkletter, Shelley ( Norman ) MacNevin, Michael Linkletter, Toni ( Charles ) Lemon, Randy MacCaull, Angelia ( Justin MacLean ) MacCaull, Jason ( Nikki ) Milligan, Jared ( Kristin ) Milligan and Bethany Milligan. Also lovingly remembered by his 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great - great - granddaughter. Besides his parents and wife, Harold was predeceased by his granddaughters Tracey MacEachern and Julie MacEachern - Laporte. Harold's community minded spirit was held in great esteem as was displayed by the many who attended his 95th birthday celebration on November 17th. His knowledge, memory and enthusiasm of family genealogies is admired. He contributed to the information available at the Lefurgey Culture Center and delighted in assisting many people across North America in discovering their roots. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, December 10th, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Harold's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Summerside Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
