Obituary of Butler, Susan Mary
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday December 19th, 2013 of Susan Mary Butler ( nee DesRoche) of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 52 years. Susan was born on March 4th, 1961 in Summerside to her mother Thelma ( nee Gallant ) and her late father, Ernest DesRoche.
Beloved wife of Anthony Butler and loving mother of Mark ( Geni ) DesRoche of Fort McMurray, AB. and Kayla Butler of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Anikyn and Annaliesse and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers and sisters Edmond of Summerside, Emmett ( Pat ) of Edmonton, AB., Nancy ( Wayne ) Matthew, Gary ( Ella ), Leo ( Sandra ), Brian ( Anne ) all of Summerside, Ernest Jr. ( Debbie ) of Calgary, AB., Phillip ( Deanna ), Allan all of Edmonton, AB. and James ( Ruby) of Summerside.
Besides her father, Susan was predeceased by her brother Paul in infancy.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, December 23rd, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Susan's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
