Obituary of Profit, Catherine "Kay"
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2021 of Mary Catherine "Kay" Profit aged 88 years. She was born on March 25, 1933 to the parents of Eva (Gaudet) and John Wallace of Alma Lot 3. Catherine is survived by the following children: Ron Profit (Donna) of Charlottetown, Sheila Profit (Ron Gillis) of Sydney, Cape Breton, the late Rev. James Profit S.J. of Guelph, Ontario, Mary Champion (Randy) of Summerside, Irene Profit (the late Glen MacWilliam) of Mill River East, the late Jean Profit of Summerside, Maureen Brennan (Rick) of Central Bedeque, Norma Profit-McNeill (John McNeill) of Summerside, and Angela Profit (Robert Gallant) of Summerside.
Lovingly cherished by twenty five grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside for a visitation on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2-5pm. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church Summerside on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:30am by invitation only. Interment to take place at St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
