Obituary of Enman, Doreen Georgie
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday December 15th, 2021 of Doreen Georgie Enman (Cotton) of South Shore Villa, Crapaud and formerly of Summerside, aged 84 years. Doreen was born in Springhill, P.E.I. to the late Calvin and Olivine (Ellis) Cotton. Beloved wife of Sterling Enman and loving mother of Debbie MacDonald, Alfred (Sharon), Calvin, Craig, Dale (Don) Mader and Dora (John) Ochsner. Also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren Christopher, Daniel (Sara), Jessica (Colleen), Craig (Sara), Kayla and Ryan, 5 great grandchildren Sophia, Alora, Isabella, Noah and Oliver. Survived by her brothers Orville and Budd (Gloria) Cotton and several nieces and nephews. Doreen enjoyed traveling, cooking, painting her beautiful artwork, playing cards (winning), spending time with her family, friends, and of course her cats. She was a lifetime member of the St Eleanor's Lions Club and was very proud to be the reigning "Mrs. PEI". She loved Facebook to keep in touch and to enjoy the beautiful pictures of horses, flowers, cats, and to add a funny joke to put a smile on someone's face. A special thank you to Dr. Victoria Zotora and all the staff at the Prince County Hospital for their professional and loving care they provided to her. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Doreen's funeral service will be held in the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 28th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. followed by the interment in the Victoria West United Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial donations in Doreen's memory can be made directly to the P.E.I. Humane Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
