Obituary of Cormier, Marc Joseph
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 of Marc Joseph Cormier of Le Chez Nous Wellington and formerly of Summerside, aged 89 years. Marc was born in St. Philippe, P.E.I. to the late Glorice and Julite (Bernard) Cormier.
Beloved husband of Doris (Maddix) Cormier and loving father of Cathy (Terry) Ross, Helen (Greg) Perry and Grant. Also lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren Amy, April, Andrew, Beck and Ashton and his 6 great grandchildren.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Eva (Leo) Richard, Aline LeBlanc, Yvonne Pitre, Albert and Yvon (Yvette) and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his daughters Catherine and Helen in infancy, sisters Anita (Narcisse) Gautreau and Anne (Dean) Taylor, brothers Leo (Therese), Louis and Father Eddie, brothers in-law Gerald LeBlanc and Al Pitre.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday July 14th, 2022 then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marc's memory to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
