Obituary of Aube, Mary "Elva"
The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside, on Sunday, March 29th, 2020 of Mary "Elva" Aube (nee Blacquiere) of Summerside, aged 87 years. Elva was born in Summerside to the late Raymond and Rose (nee Peters) Blacquiere.
Beloved wife of the late Donald Aube and loving mother of Karl, Summerside, Ronald (Donna), Halifax and Suzanne, Sumerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Michael and Angela.
Survived by her brothers and sister Urie (Theresa) of Summerside, Rosemarie of Owen Sound, ON., Bunny (Marv) of Omemee, ON., Charles (Ivy) of Surrey BC., sisters-in-law Celine and Patricia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her brothers and sister Greg, Richard, Claude (Bernice), Sheila, Desmond, brother-in-law Bill and son-in-law Brian Ford.
Elva left PEI in 1954 and lived in many provinces. She had always missed PEI and when her husband retired in 1997, they returned to Summerside where they shared a happy retirement. She was a loving mother and wife, beautiful, kind, generous and a great sense of humor. Elva will be missed by many.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Visiting hours and funeral service to be announced at a later date. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Elva's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
