Karen and Gary's family, you have my sincere condolences. Gary was a great guy and a wonderful co-worker. We had a lot of great laughs. Margaret was his whole world and when she passed, I am sure he was a lost soul but now they are reunited.

To Karen and all of Gary’s family, we send our deepest condolences. Gary was a beloved member of our choir at South Shore United and we miss him singing with us. He was kind, compassionate and always willing to help when asked, whether it was driving patients from the Health and Wellness Clinic to various medical appointments, transporting blood and specimens from the Clinic to the QEH or driving a dialysis patient from the community to the PCH. Gary and Marg became our very best friends when we moved to PEI in 1978. They were both such loving, kind and compassionate people and complemented each other perfectly. When we started our family in 1980 and had a second child in 1982, they would babysit for us, without hesitation, when we needed them. Even after we moved to New Brunswick in 1994, they remained wonderful friends. Every summer, we would rent one of their two cottages in Hampton for a week or two and spent time visiting back and forth. Every summer, even now, we rent a cottage for a month from another friend in the area and last summer Gary was down to visit us at least once a week and we visited him at his home at least as often. We will miss you, Gary, as we have missed Marg for the past 17 years, but we know that you are reunited now and that we will see you again. And our hearts and prayers go out to Karen (and Dan), Gregory and Carla as they mourn the passing of this wonderful man.

I am so sorry to hear about Gary. He was a kind easy going guy who was always there with a helping hand with his handyman and tree knowledge. To a great man who treated people with respect and kindness. Gary and Margaret who two of the nicest people you could ever meet. I visited them in their home in Victoria over the years. Rest now Gary and join Margaret in peace.

Peter and I were cottage neighbours with Gary for many years and had some great times with both he and Margaret. He was a lovely man, humble to the core. We will certainly miss his great sense of humor and friendship.

Gary was
a great friend of ours on PEI and we visited him many times after.Talking on the phone many times and visiting in the hospital.Always

Karen and family of Gary, I would like to express my sincere sympathy on the passing of Gary. I worked with Gary for 30 years and He was a great friend and co worker. We curled together and against one another and it was always a lot of fun. Gary was a great guy . May all your special memories of Gary comfort you at this difficult time.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
