The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026 of Jeremiah “Jerry” Claude Simpson of Summerside, aged 82 years.  Jerry was born in Summerside to his late father  J.K. “Jack” Curran and his late mother Irene Emma (nee MacNutt) (Dr. Jeremiah) Simpson. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Simpson (MacKinnon) and loving father of Rebecca (Neal Riley),  Jeremy (Janey), Jonathan (Lola) , J.C.(Tanya) and step-son Shawn MacCormack.

Also lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law Paula Simpson.

Predeceased by his brothers Charles and Jack.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PE.  By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside.
