I went to the Immaculate Conception Church in Richmond for a while; this was a lot of years ago when I lived with Kevin & Nina Morrell, & I also made Teen Encounter. Nina Morrell is now deceased.

My condolences to all the family. Your mom (grandmother) left a wonderful legacy. A memory I have of her is when she called into Island Morning on CBC on my defense when host Wayne Collins wasn't very supportive of my conservative point of view. Rehana and I had the pleasure of meeting Eileen on July 27,2024, in Richmond, PEI. We had gone there, with our family to attend the BBQ that Philip and Carol had organized to celebrate the wedding of their son Micah to our daughter Zinnia. Eileen met us very warmly and posed with us for a photo, asked us questions about our family, and complimented that Zinnia was such a nice girl. She had good sense of humour and joked about the funny weather we had that year, and asked us to come to Richmond again. Lovely lady she was and we’ll miss her.

I send my sincere condolences to all the Brown family on your loss of your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Truly an amazing woman!
My sisters and I had a wonderful visit with Eileen and Liz a year or so ago when she lived with Phillip and Carol. She told us of her life as a young woman in Richmond. She took the School Board to task because women were not allowed on the Board. And succeeded in having not one, but two women on the Board! We listened to her stories of women helping each other out during tough times and when we left, we all felt we had an insight and deeper understanding into life for women at the time……. something our own mother would have experienced. The visit with Eileen was a gift!
This lovely lady left the world a better place, a great legacy in her children, their children and their children’s children. “ The torch be yours, to hold it high”.

Sincere Sympathy to all the Brown family on the passing of Eileen. She lived a good long life and you were all blessed to have a mother who taught you all how important that Holy Mass and prayer were (and are )to your lives and to your families.
She used to tell us when she was living at Andrews ' Lodge in Summerside , and my brother Floyd was a resident at Summerset Manor , and she would come to mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Summerside with her walker and Floyd would come to mass in his wheelchair...that they were both in the " same boat" ! ....and now they have both passed on to eternity.. Eileen was one of my catechism teachers many years ago and I always remember how dedicated she was to doing this . I also remember many times my late Mom Anne and late Dad Linus would relate that when they lived in Amherst , NS that Ray and Eileen came to visit them when they were on their honeymoon. Floyd ,my brother at that time was just a baby in his crib . Mom and Dad had them stay for a meal !....fond memories...
May she rest in the Holy Arms of Jesus and may her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in the peace of Christ. May God give all her family comfort and peace in their sorrow of the passing of their loving and caring mother of many years.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
