The death occurred peacefully, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, of Francis Joseph Doucette of Summerside, aged 94 years.  Francis was born in Tignish to his late parents Emmanuel and Agnes Doucette.  Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Gaudet) Doucette and loving father of Sharon Doucette, Gerry (Jane) Doucette, Susan Perry, Rose Doucette, Lisa (Steven) VanderVeen  and Irma Doucette (Donnie Harris). 

Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Nicole, Sandy, Natalie, Tracy, Emily, Jenna, Zoe,  great-grandchildren Dylan, Emma, Madison, Kali, Draven, Harper, Charlie, Elise, Ben, Finn and Isla.

Survived by his brother-in-law Roy and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by son John, son-in-law Tony Perry, brothers and sisters Henry, Walter, Oville, Rita Arsenault, Aurella (Avard) Price, Melvin (Rosie), Gerard and Judy Leclair.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PE until Tuesday, July 14th, 2026.  Visiting hours from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at the funeral home and then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 2:00 pm.  Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
