Mary Marguerite Muriel Thompson (nee DesRoches) passed away surrounded by her loving family at Prince County Hospital on Wednesday July 8th, 2026 at the age of 94.  She was the beloved wife of the late Elmer Thompson, formerly of St. Eleanor's, PEI.

Loving mother of Carol (late Al) Delaney, Errol (Cathy), Sandy and the late Lonnie (Laurie) Thompson.

Loving grandmother of the late Kilby Delaney and Jillian Delaney (Steven Morrison), LisaThompson and KK (Amy) Thompson, Aaron (Stephanie) and Micaela (Dana Adams)Thompson.

Survived by adored great grandchildren Jorja Rae and Charlie Thompson and their mother Nicole Gaudet Thompson.

Predeceased by mother Dena (DesRoches) Pye, and stepfather George Pye, stepsiblings Earl Pye, Janie Crossman, Lily MacLeod, Stanley Pye and Blanche Enman, halfbrothers Charles, Vans, Carl and Lorne Pye, many brothers and sisters-in-law and special friend Desmond Sherry and many special friends.

Survived by halfsiblings June Pye, Clare (late Don) Jones, Sharon (late Richard) MacNeill and special halfsister Velda Griffiths, sisters-in-law Bea Pye and Bertie Thompson, Desmond's children Anita, Michelle and Larry, numerous nieces and nephews and special nephew Wayne Thompson.

Special thanks to the East Prince palliative home care team as well as the staff of Prince County Hospital.

Visiting hours at the East Prince Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00pm on Monday July 13th, 2026 and funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am on Tuesday July 14th, 2026.  Interment in Lot 16 United Cemetery.
