The sudden death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE on Thursday, July 2, 2026 of Doris Eleanor Jean Cameron of Summerside and formerly of Bayside, PE, aged 85 years.  Doris was born in Summerside to her late parents Robert and Mae (Winchester) Waite.  Beloved wife of the late Lea Cameron and loving mother of Donna (Bloyce) Curtis, Karen Sudsbury (Jim), Heather (Pete) Sudsbury and Michael (Tina) Sudsbury.

Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Krista, Kristopher (deceased), Charles, Robert (deceased), Matthew (deceased), Karen, Steven, Aaron, Patrick, Ashleigh, Alicia and Tylor.  Great-grandmother to Kya, Mason, Tavius, Kris, Nakia, Makhi, Brooklyn, Braydon, Breagh-Lynn, Bentley, Kiah, Ruby, Hudson, Nikki, Nevaeh, Lexi, Harley and Ethan.  Great-great-grandmother to Rosalynn “Roo”.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters:  Roberta Cole, Lloyd (Cheryl) Waite, Hal Waite, Lester (Mary) Waite, Jane (Gary) Campbell, Eldon Waite, Kate Waite (Dave), Doug Waite, Paul Waite, Thane Waite, Sheila Mayhew, sister-in-law Noreen Waite and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brothers Claude, Robert Jr., Carl and Raymond, sister-in-law Darlene Waite, brother-in-law Donnie Mayhew and by niece Tracy Cole Freiwald.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside for visiting hours on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at East Prince Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 4th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to take place in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Summerside.
