Kenny Muttart Obituary
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Sunday, June 28, 2026, of James “Kenny” Muttart, aged 80 years.
After courageously battling cancer for the past year, Kenny sadly lost his fight on Sunday, surrounded by the love of his family. Through it all, he faced each day with strength, an infectious smile, and the same sense of humour that everyone knew and loved. He will be remembered for his quick wit, joking ways, and for never missing the chance to tell an inappropriate joke or two, even during the toughest of times.
Born in Summerside, Kenny was the son of the late Jim and Olive Muttart. Beloved husband of Jean (née Murphy) and loving father of Michael Muttart of Kemptville, Ontario, and Melissa (Mark MacEachern) Muttart. Kenny will be greatly missed by his granddaughter Santana (Abel Arsenault) Muttart and will be fondly remembered by Peggy Dunville.
Kenny found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the races, fishing for trout, and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and ability to make people laugh will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Friday, July 3, where a Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery.
Donations in Kenny's memory to the Humane Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
