Theresa Blacquiere Obituary

The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside on June 16th, 2026, of Theresa Mary Blacquiere of Summerside in her 92nd year. Theresa was born in Summerside to her late parents, Maxime and Fanny Peters. Beloved wife of Urie Blacquiere and loving mother of David, Billy (deceased), Paul, Paulette, Tim and their families. Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her stepchildren, Rose, Debbie, Nancy, Paul, Joey and their families. Theresa will also be remembered by her surviving siblings, David and Jim Peters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Theresa was a true homemaker, talented quilter, decorator, and crafts woman. She and her first husband, Norman Gaudette, moved to Ontario where they their raised 5 children. Once widowed, Theresa returned to her roots in PEI and married her childhood sweetheart, Urie Blacquiere. Together they travelled extensively, sharing life’s adventures, always accompanied by Theresa's sister, and best friend, Helen. Theresa was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren in both Ontario and PEI. In her final years, she was lovingly cared for by Urie's daughters, Nancy, Debbie and Rose while away from her family in Ontario.


 


Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PEI. Donations in Theresa's memory to Andrews of Summerside would be greatly appreciated.


 


By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.


 


A special thanks to Andrews of Summerside staff for their kindness, compassion and care shown to Theresa, especially during her last days and a special "Thank You" to Melissa for always being there for the family.
