Patricia Alice Power Obituary
Patricia (Dunphy) Power
With heavy hearts and deep sadness, the family of Patricia (Dunphy) Power announce her passing, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born March 18th, 1942, to the late James and Alice Dunphy.
Pat was the beloved wife of George Power, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.
Pat was a proud and loving mother to Paul (Jill) Power, Ian (Kelly) Power, and Susan (Perley) Lewis. She was an adored grandmother to Jordan (Tyler MacDonald) and Jill Power, Sarah and Matt Lewis, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. They loved their “Patti.”
Pat was a special auntie of many nieces and nephews and a cherished step-grandmother to Emily (Stephen) Chandler, Kaylee and Molly Lewis, and Abby Cleary. She was also a proud and loving step-great grandmother to Bridget Chandler.
She was predeceased by her sister Sheila Dunphy and will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Kay White, Mary (Basil) Haire, Helen Dornan, Eileen Rubini, Barb Dunphy (Bill Scharff), Jimmy (Emilia) Dunphy, and Kevin (Anna) Dunphy.
A nurse by profession, Pat was a graduate of the Charlottetown School of Nursing (1963). She cared deeply for those in need and carried that kind and caring spirit throughout her life.
Pat was a devoted volunteer at local hockey games, a faithful church goer, and a devoted member of St. Paul’s CWL. She enjoyed playing crib and bridge as well but nothing brought more pride and happiness for Pat than watching her children and grandchildren play sports, celebrating their accomplishments, or simply spending time with them.
Pat will be forever remembered as one of the kindest souls, living her life with strength, generosity, and devotion. Her caring nature, humor, and genuine unconditional love for others, left a lasting impression on anyone blessed to have known her. She had a remarkable way of making others feel welcome and valued. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories we have and the love she shared with us will remain in our hearts.
Donations in Pat’s memory to an organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
