The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE, on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, of Heber Wesley Rayner of St. Eleanors, PE, aged 90 years.  Heber was born in South Kildare, PE, to his late parents William & Marjorie (Gillian) Rayner.  Beloved husband of Dorreen (Henderson) Rayner and loving father of Nancy (Randy) Winchester, Ellen Rayner, Mary Mahar, Merle Rayner, Daryl (Belinda) Rayner and Alethea “Phyllis” Rayner.

Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Noah (Ashley) Winchester, Victoria (Xander) Winchester, Brooke-Lyn Winchester, Lylah Mahar, Isaac Mahar, Rebekah (William) Weiland, Caleb Rayner, Matthias (Lauren) Rayner, Hannah (Andrew) Burton, Jennifer Watts, Lindsey Ramsden, Clarissa Christine Rayner and by his great grandchildren Kairos Rayner, Kaleb Watts, Asher Ramsden, Leo Ramsden and Alisen O’Hearn.

Survived by his sisters Belle MacInnis, Betty Rayner, brothers and sisters-in-law: Bobby Henderson, Bonita (Freddie) Johnson, Nowell MacRae, Laverne Yeo, Loman (Ester) Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson, Valerie McInnis, Angela (Doug) McCallum, Nolen DesRoches, and Delbert Henderson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Keith (Barbara) Rayner, Elmer (Charlotte) Rayner, Shirley Henderson, Ethel McPhee and brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred MacInnis, Eddie Rayner, Sylvia (Edmond) Gaudet, Roy MacRae, Sheldon Henderson, Debbie Belle, Jimmy Yeo, and Ervin Ramsay.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until, Monday, June 1st, 2026, where a funeral service will be held at the Central Street Christian Church, 83 Central Street, Summerside, PE at 2:00 p.m.  Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside.  Visiting hours on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
