It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Teena Marie Hitchcock (nee McWilliam), which occurred at Prince County Hospital on May 13, 2026, at the age of 55.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Teena was the beloved daughter of Albert McWilliam and the late Norma McWilliam (nee Martin).

Teena was a loving and devoted mother to Darren “DJ” (Maisie) and Brandon, who were the centre of her world. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nephew Anthony and her niece Lily.

She leaves to mourn her brother Randy (Sheila), her sister Gail (Jamie), as well as extended family and friends who will cherish her memory always.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., immediately followed by the funeral service.

Interment will take place following the service at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery in Tignish.

In memory of Teena, donations to the Diabetes Foundation  would be greatly appreciated by the family.
