Carol was born and raised in Charlottetown to Doris (MacKenzie) and Walter Cecile Duffy. She had 7 siblings and an extended family in Charlottetown and elsewhere on the Island.  Carol always held her parents and her childhood upbringing close to her heart. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Charlottetown and graduated at St. Joseph’s Convent and Notre Dame Academy.

As a young woman, she ventured away from the Island to join the Royal Canadian Air Force. After marrying and raising a family, Carol went on to a successful and fulfilling career in a hospital setting in Fort McMurray. Carol retired to Edmonton before making the move back to her beloved PEI.

Carol was a Mother who loved her children deeply. She gave of herself and always believed that her children deserved the utmost love and caring she could give them. Her strength, courage and dignity, along with a healthy dose of humour, infused all that she did.

She was always thoughtful of her words and turned from any praise. 

We will miss her beyond words but will have her in our hearts every day.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.  A private family service will be held.
