The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE, on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, of Margo (Rioux) Marie Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Campbellton, NB.  Margo was born to her late parents, Tom Rioux and Ethel (Shearer) Rioux.  Beloved wife of David and loving mother of Zachary (Crista) and Zara (Austin).

Lovingly remembered by her three cherished grandchildren Clarity, Elodie, and Jayce, who were the absolute love of her life.  She loved them with her whole heart and found her greatest joy in being their Nana.

Margo also had a special love for her Aunt Audrey and late Uncle Frank.

Survived by the following brother and sister: David (Mary) and Debbie, brothers and sisters-in-law Susan, Paul (Bunny), Jeanette, Gavin (Paulette), Gloria (Steve), Sandra (Warren), Donnie, Nicole (Ali) and father-in-law Vincent Gallant.

Predeceased by her parents Tom and Ethel, brothers Michael, Carl, Kevin, and Kerry, Nieces Rayanne and Carly Rioux and mother-in-law Adelina Mary Gallant.

"Devoted to her family, Margo held her nieces and nephews, especially close to her heart. In her nephew Josh’s words, “Margo was a safe place. She was loving in the truest sense of the word. Consistent. Safe. There are certain people in a family who quietly become part of everyone’s sense of ‘home,’ and Margo was one of those people.”"

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 am.  Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery.  Visiting hours Monday, May 11th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
