The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, of Julie Ann Williams of Sherwood Park, Alberta, aged 72 years. Julie was born in Wrexham, North Wales, UK, to her late parents, Arthur and Mary Coates.

Loving mother of Christy (Andrew) and lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren, Bryn and Cameron.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Philip, Jen, Alan, Chris, David, Susy and sisters-in-law: Sue and Trish.

Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary, sister Kate, daughter Lindsay Beth  and grandson Owen.

Julie was the best wife a man could wish for. Owner of the license plate "Feisty1", Julie was just that her whole life, a go-getter, passionate, kind, loyal and of course feisty. There was nothing that phased her and she could turn her hand to anything from cooking cordon bleu to using a skill saw. Julie was a terrific mother to Lindsay and Christy, making sure to make a better life for them than she had. Julie was a loving Nana to Bryn and Cameron and would have been to Owen. Always ready to give anything a try no matter the silliness. Julie was a sassy wife to John, always keeping him in line when few could but loving and caring for him each day of their 54 years together. In John's words, "She was the love of my life". We don't know what we will do without her fighting spirit by our side but we are grateful that Lindsay and Owen have such a wonderful mother and Nana with them now. Julie will be missed immensely, and we are all saddened by her loss.

By personal request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will occur at a later date in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
