Joan Arsenault Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Dianne Arsenault (Enman), who passed away on April 24th, 2026, at the age of 81.


Born on September 19th, 1944, in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Hazel Enman.


Joan was predeceased by her sisters, Joyce and Marlene; her brothers, Reuben Jr., Jerry and Ralph; her first husband, Joseph Cyril Arsenault; and her fiancé, Clifford McCourt.


She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Stacey MacAusland (Kevin)  Michelle Arsenault (Spencer), and Jolene Arsenault.  She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Michael, Chris, Colby, and Chelsea.  Joan is also survived by her sisters, Darlene (Paul) Murray and Deborah Dickinson, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.


Joan was a dedicated and respected member of the Miscouche community.  She served on the village council for many years and was the Postmistress of the Miscouche Post Office for 35 years, where she became a familiar and friendly face to generations of residents. She will be remembered for her kindness, her commitment to her community, and her deep love for her family.  Joan will be dearly missed by all who knew her.


Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, May 1st, 2026, for a funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, PE at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to take place in Victoria West Cemetery.  By personal request, there will be no visiting hours.
