Morag Andria Harper passed away peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on the morning of 20 April, 2026 at the age of 83.

Morag was born on 15 March, 1943 in Glasgow, Scotland to her late parents David & Janette Alexnader. She immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1966.

She is survived by her three sons Stephen (Gayle), Scott (Crystal), and Sean (Marsha) along with 7 grandchildren: Emma-Lee, Chloe, Sarah, Destyni, Jonathon, Alyson and Alex.

Morag moved to Summerside, PEI in 1974 with her family. She worked in the Prince County Hospital first as an Admissions Clerk and later as a Pharmacy Technician from 1980 until she retired in 2006 at the age of 63. Morag also was involved with her local union through various roles including becoming union president for several years.

She was a member of the Summerside Performing Arts Group throughout much of the 1980’s being involved in 7 plays as an actress and singer during this time. She continued her love for singing by performing with the Summerside Choir for several more years. Morag also belonged to the local Red Hat Society.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PE.  At the families request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Summerside Salvation Army in Morag’s name.
