The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE, on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 of Dorothy Ann Paynter (Connick) of Summerside and formerly of Kensington.  Daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel (Noonan) Connick.  Wife of the late Leslie Paynter and mother of Cindy (Buddy Farish), Dale, Sue (Kevin Mann), and Corey (Kelly).

Special grandmother of Russel (Heather), Christine (Curtis), Crystal (Jamie), Roger and Carrie Paynter, Jason (Sarah) and Ryan (Kelly) Mann and Blake Lannigan as well as her 15 great-grandchildren.

Sister of Jill Connick (Victor Cormier) and sister-in-law and brother-in-law of Donnie (Sandra) Paynter, Linda (Cal) Durdle, and Lyman Paynter.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and by her special friend Rose Coughlin.

Predeceased by her daughter Carol Ann, sisters Goldie Coffee, Zelda Connick, Doris Phinney, Debbie Lambe, Diane Olson, Audrey Connick, Lorraine MacDonald and Donna Clow, grandson Jeremy Paynter, daughter-in-law Karen Paynter (Rix), sisters-in-law Esther (Hughie) MacEachern and Shirley (Clarence) Paynter.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.  By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. ******* Update******* A committal service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Indian River, PEI, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
