The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Andrews of Summerside on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, of Elmer Joseph Gaudet of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 97 years. Elmer was born in Miscouche, P.E.I. to the late Regis and Margaret Gaudet.

Beloved husband of the late Nora (Richard) Gaudet and loving father of Stella (Edgar) Arsenault, Paul (Caroline), Mark (Allyson), Claire (Alain Boulinne), Louis (Jerri Lynn), son in-law Doug Breau husband of his dear departed daughter Gloria. Also lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren Ryan, Adam, Kayla, Denis, Josée, Joceline, Emily, Katia, Clark and Blake, his 11 great grandchildren Finn, Sydney, Nathan, Logan, Emersyn, Rosalie, Adelaine, Rowyn, Emerson, Luretta and Bo.

Survived by his in-laws Willie, Donalda (Donat), Aldona (Richard), Zelma and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his daughter Mona in infancy, brothers and sister Theodore, Eric, Joseph, Marie, Gilbert, Albert, Robert and Ernest. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until, Saturday April 18th, 2026, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Elmer's memory can be made to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund.  Visitation hours on Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.
