Laurie Ann Poirier Obituary

The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, of Laurie Ann Poirier (Bernard) of Summerside, PEI, aged 88 years.  Laurie Ann was born in Summerside to her late parents, Ted and Beatrice (Arsenault) Bernard.


Beloved wife of the late Reginald Poirier and loving mother of Trudy (Brian) Adams, Kevin (Sheila), Randy, Timmy (Marilyn), and Blair (Patsy).  Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Vanessa, Becky, Katie, Ashley, Chelsey, Brett, Taylor, Makayla, Brandon, Jeffery, Stephanie, Adam, David; and step-grandchildren Julien, Jocelyn, Chelsea, Caleb, Ashley, Johnny, Laurie and Chantelle, and by numerous great-grandchildren. 


Survived by her sister-in-law Lilly (Irving) Arsenault.


Predeceased by her daughter Susan, son Scott, sister Sally (Doug) Dumont, and sister-in-law Marie (Ron) Duval. 


Special thanks to the staff of the Summerset Manor for all the kindness and care given to their mother during her stay. 


Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Friday, April 10, 2026, then to East Prince Funeral Home Chapel for funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment to take place at a later date in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Cemetery.  Donations in Laurie Ann's memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.
