Eric Arsenault Obituary

Eric Joseph Arsenault (Sgt. Ret.)

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Eric.

Our dad was a special man. He was kind, curious, patient and hardworking. He loved to help others and was a very skilled craftsman.

Dad was a true Jack of all Trades; whether it was building a castle for his daughter, new cabinets for his wife or a big memorial cross for the town to display at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. Dad was always happiest when he had a project on the go.

If you were lucky enough to know Eric, you would know he was a great man. He was a man of few words, but he usually had a one liner up his sleeve to get a smile out of you.

Eric's children and grandchildren were his everything. He was a loving Pépé who will be missed everyday, immensely.

He served with The Prince Edward Island Regiment, an Armoured Corps Reconnaissance Unit and completed Tours with United Nations and NATO. He was also a founding member of The Prince Edward Island Association.

Eric is survived by his three daughters; Michelle (Brady), Kaitlin (Colin) and Taylor (Travis). Along with his four grandchildren; Dexter, Daisy (Michelle), Eevee (Kaitlin) and Nolan (Taylor). He also has a brother named Richard (Dicky).

He is predeceased by his wife Cheryl, his father Arthur, mother Zelma (Gaudet) and two young sisters in childhood; Shirley and Dorothy.

A service will be held in July when the family can all be together.
