The death occurred peacefully at O’Leary Community Hospital, PE on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 of Joseph “Michael” Perry of Summerside, PE and formerly of St. Nicholas, PE, aged 76 years.  Michael was born in Summerside to his late parents, Edward and Theresa (Poirier) Perry. 

Lovingly remembered by his daughter Rhonda (John) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters:  Ellen Parker of Belmont, Judy of Charlottetown, Stewart (Janie) of Summerside, Margaret Anne of St. Nicholas and John of North York, Ont.

Predeceased by his parents, sister Betty Perry, brother Charlie, Sonny (in infancy), brothers in-law Doug Parker and Terry Moore (Best Bud!) and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was a hard worker all of his life.  Whether it was with Linkletter Farms or Highway Maintenance with the Province of PEI as a labourer.  Michael moved to Parkhill Place where he earned the title of "Parkhill Foreman" as he was always there to help with anything that needed to be done.  He will be greatly missed by staff.

Special thanks to the staff at Prince County Hospital for taking care of Michael while a patient, also special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the community Hospital in O'Leary who went above and beyond to ensure Michael was always comfortable and happy during his final days. 

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road.  By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor his memory at a later date. Interment to take place at a later date in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche, PE. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
