The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family at Prince County Hospital on Sunday, March 8, 2026, of Joni Lee Miner of Summerside, aged 49 years.  Joni was born in Summerside, PEI, to her father, Graham (Mei), and late mother, Darlene (Lea). 

Survived by her sister, Jennifer (Graeme), grandmother Lucy, and nieces Amelia and Alexa. Lovingly remembered by aunts and uncles, Tammy (Corey), Sherry (Michael), Lester (Cheryl), Lee, Bobby, Wayne (Lynne), and Greg; also remembered by many cousins and her advocate, Brenda. 

Predeceased by her grandfather, Albert, and grandparents, Rev. Eric and Helen. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, March 12, 2026, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 11:00 am. 

Interment to take place at a later date in People's Cemetery, Kensington.
