Marcelle Mary DesRoches Obituary
A beautiful force of nature, our vibrant Marcelle Mary DesRoches peacefully embarked on her next adventure while surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital on March 2nd 2026, at age 74.
Loving wife of René Tremblay of St. Nicholas. Pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Urban DesRoches and her brother Bernard in infancy.
Survived by brothers and sisters (the rest of the 'Corn Family') Emily (late Cecil) Ramsay, Flo (late Claude) Gaudet, Julia (late Claude) Albert, Anita (late David) Greenway, John (Bernie), Cecilia (late Normand) Desautels, Olive (late Gerald) Allain, Stella (Marcel) Arsenault, Marie (Gil) Rouleau, Wilferd (Linda), Wilbert (Patty), numerous cherished nieces and nephews, and an infestation of dear friends.
Growing up as one of the youngest of 12 children, Marcelle was always an original spirit. During her life, she found great significance and purpose in making connections with everyone she encountered. She had an innate ability to make all who knew her feel unique and special.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at the Prince County Hospital for their kind and professional care during a difficult time, especially Fred and Sky.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your local food bank would be appreciated.
A funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Parish Church, Miscouche at 11:00 a.m. on March 6th, 2026. Reception to follow at the Miscouche Legion after the service. All are welcome to attend the funeral service and reception. Her family will be holding a celebration of life in honour of Marcelle on the 3rd weekend of August - details TBA.
In the words of Marcelle - 'If you got 'em, smoke 'em'.
