My condolences to the family. I met Marlene at Bible Study at Parkhill Place and then we met again at Andrews. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but will remember the discussions we had about the Gospel. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I wish we hadn't had so many miles separating us. Even across those many miles I always felt loved. I wish we had more time together, but what time we did have, I will always treasure. I will miss you grandma.

I loved your mother's kind heart
What a great example she was to me. Like a beautiful water lily growing up from the muck andi mire of the river bottom shr did not let her trials overcome her. Love you all. Peggy James

I have known Marlene since approximately 1974 Her family moved here from Montreal. She’s one of the best! A true friend, so kind and uplifting. Just taking life in stride. Her family always came first and they looked after her well! She always lived like the child of God that she is! We served in Primary ( children program in our Church) together ! she was always dedicated to serve our Lord , last time I visited her at Andrew’s she was busily reading her scriptures, she self taught herself to paint some really nice pictures in her later years. . She will be missed by her children and all that knew her and especially those who love her. Rest in peace Marlene. Linda MacKay.

I'm grateful I got to know Marlene through her daughter Wendy. Marlene was such a warm, shining example of a daughter of our Heavenly Father. She didn't hide times of struggling in her earlier life, and showed me that we can all overcome our errors and mistakes. I know she is happy to be reunited with loved ones who went to Heaven before her. Earth has lost an angel.

When I was serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Summerside, I remember a Valentines Dance we had at the local branch building. Part of the celebration included a dance. It was my privilege to have a dance with Marlene. Such a delightful and pleasant lady. Craig Brewster
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
