The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, with her loving family by her side, on January 29th, 2026 of Diane Hachey of Summerside, aged 82 years. Diane was born in Summerside, PEI, to her late parents Jack and Iris (Weeks) MacDonald and her aunt Patricia Weeks.

Beloved wife of the late Phillip Hachey and loving mother of Bill Hachey, Shawn Hachey and daughter Deanna Hachey. Also lovingly remembered by granddaughter, Kaitlynn Corey, grandson Kayne Corey and great-grandson George Phillip.

Her niece who she deeply loved Wendy MacDonald and her daughter Elizabeth and son Little John.

She will be missed by many of her loving family and friends. Jean Gallant and her loving family Urban and Mary Laughlin.

Survived by brother-in-law Bob Hachey and sister-in-law Cathy Hachey.

Predeceased by parents and brother Wendell MacDonald.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, February 2nd, 2026, then to St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Summerside, PEI for funeral Mass on Wednesday February 4th, 2026 at 10:30 am.

Interment to take place at a later date in St. Paul's cemetery.

Donations in Diane's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
