The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on January 19th, 2026, of Aubrey Charles MacDonald of Summerside, PEI, aged 84 years.

Aubrey was born in Summerside to his late parents, Ralph and Zeta (Gallant) MacDonald. Beloved husband of Eloise (Callaghan) MacDonald and loving father of Kim MacDonald (Craig), Summerside, PEI, and Bob MacDonald, Victoria, BC. Lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, Sam, Ed, Sid, Seth McNeill and several nieces and nephews.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Helen (Paul) Arsenault, Dick (Audrey), Donnie (Nancy), brother-in-law Louis Callaghan (Judy), and sister-in-law Joyce McIver.

Predeceased by his parents, sister Joan Laughlin, brothers Bobby (in infancy) and Grant.

Aubrey's family would like to thank Home Care Services, Dr. Morash, the wonderful nurses and staff at Prince County Hospital for the wonderful care he received.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, January 23rd, 2026, where a funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment to take place at a later date in St Paul's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Aubrey's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation  would be appreciated.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, from 5 -7 p.m.
