The death occurred peacefully at the Mount Continuing Care Community, Charlottetown, PE on December 28, 2025 of Phyllis Ruth Wedge (nee Gallant) of Summerside, aged 93 years.  Phyllis was born in Summerside to her late parents Wilfred and Nettie Gallant. 

Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Wedge of Summerside, and loving mother of Mary (Mike) Hennessey, Stanhope, Cindy (Richard Kenny) of Stratford, Kenton (Sheila Whiteway) of Alexandra, Alex (Julie), Summerside, and George (Shelly), Scarborough, ON. Also lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Survived by her brother David (Adeline) Gallant and brothers and sisters/in-law Rose Wedge, Patricia (Rod) Arsenault, Sam (Yvonne) Wedge, Harvey (Sandy) Wedge and Peggy (Ted) Peters. 

Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her daughter Jane, sons John (J.J.) and Paul Wedge, sisters and brothers Elaine (Ray) Amirault, Isabel (Harold) Arsenault, Della (Charlie) Cairns, Inez (George) Peters, Allan (Noelline), Robert (Velma), Herbie and Harold Gallant. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, January 6th, then to St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:00 am. Memorial donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to the PCH Oncology Unit or QEH Foundation. Visiting hours on Monday January 5th from 4 - 7 p.m.
