With heavy hearts but gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Dorothy “Dot” Irene Maynard (nee Cannon) of St.Eleanors, announces her passing on December 26, 2025 at Prince County Hospital, with family by her side.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert (Bob) Maynard. Loving mother of Donald (Betty Gordon), Ann (Bryan Parker), and Alan (Susan) Maynard. Cherished grandmother of Olivia Maynard (Patrick Clark); Bethany Maynard (Brett Driscoll); Aidan and Sean Parker; Celeste and Noah Maynard.

Dot is survived by her brother and sister in laws Jim “Gordon” Maynard, Lyman (Linda) Maynard; and Leigh Newcombe. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Rowena Cannon, and her sister in laws Susan Maynard and Christie Newcombe. Dot will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, St Eleanors. No visitation by personal request. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St John’s Anglican Church (donations can be mailed to the Parish Office at 74 Summer Street, Summerside, C1N 3H9), or a charity of choice.
