The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2025, of Shirley Anne Doucette (Clow), aged 83 years. Shirley was born in Summerside to the late Frank & Florence (Savidant) Clow. 

Beloved wife of the late Emile Doucette and loving mother of Eldon- deceased (Kathy), John, Amber (Mike) DeCoste, Joey (Donna), Paul (Natasha). Also lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. 

Survived by her brothers and sisters, Floyd (Marion), Danny (Marlene), Wade (Tracey), Nancy Strongman and Sheila Clow, sisters-in-law, Charlene Clow and Geralda Doucette,

Predeceased by granddaughters in infancy Tori Page and Catrina, brother Chuckie, sister Bev, brothers in infancy Hal & Glenn, brothers-in-law Benny Aresenault and Vince Strongman.  

Shirley loved volunteering her time to help others.  She was a member of the Miscouche Legion, where she received 3 Legionnaire of the Year Awards; PEI Zone Command; Lioness St. Eleanors; Hospice PEI; Credit Union Place; CWL; and the Boys and Girls Club, where she was Volunteer of the Year in 2015. Shirley was also a season ticket holder for the Summerside Western Capitals Hockey. She loved her hockey.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, December 16th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche at a later date. Donations in Shirley's memory can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Medical Floor or PEI Humane Society. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m.

Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #18 in Miscouche will hold a Legion Service on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at East Prince Funeral Home.
