The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI of Ernest "Ernie" Emmanuel Blacquiere of Summerside, aged 89 years.  Ernie was born in Summerside to the late Albin and Adelaid (Gallant) Blacquiere.  Beloved husband of the late Maria (Peckham) Blacquiere.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Edmund (Barb) Blacquiere, Edna Alfano, Nancy (Preston) Silliker, Donna Lee Randon, brothers-in-law Bob Chester, Philip Peckham, sister-in-law Rose Blacquiere, step-daughter Judy Clow and great friend Harold Gallant.

Predeceased by his son Shon Blacquiere, brothers Clifford, Wilson, Elizare and Kenneth, sister Marjorie Chester, and brother-in-law Bob Alfano.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday, December 4th, 2025,  where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m.  Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Interment to take place at St. Paul’s following the funeral service.
