The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside on November 27th, 2025 of Joseph Alphonse Richard, formerly of Borden-Carleton, at 94 years of age.  Born in Tignish, Joe was the son of the late Hector and Melina Richard.

Father of Barry (Patty), Elaine, Donna, Steve (Darlene), Bob (Penny), Mike (Donna), and Dave (Cliff).

Also lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Ann Fleming, Alphonse (Linda), Arthur, Alice (Preston) Hogan, and Angela Gallant.

Predeceased by Gerard and Obeline Richard, Emily and Elmer Blanchard, Rita and Pius Peters, Victor Richard, Bob Fleming, Jean Richard, Betty Richard, Hubert Richard and Gerard Gallant.

The family would like to thank the staff at Andrews of Summerside for their care provided to Joe during his time there.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, December 4th, 2025, then to St. Simon & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 1:00pm. Interment to follow.  There will be no visiting hours by personal request.
