The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside on Thursday, November 20th, 2025 of Ethel Marie Makin (Nelson) of Summerside, PEI and formerly of Truro, Nova Scotia aged 78 years.  Ethel was born in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia to her late parents Garnett and Jessie Nelson.  Beloved wife of the late Stanley Makin.

Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters:  Linda Merrett and Bruce Nelson.

Predeceased by her brothers Freeman Nelson, William Nelson and Ross Cheighton.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, November 28th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeal home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment to take place in Lower Bedeque Cemetery.  By personal request, there will be no visiting hours.
