The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Western Hospital, Alberton, PEI on Thursday, November 20, 2025 of James “Gerard” Roberts of Summerside, PEI and formerly of Kinkora, PEI aged 82 years.  Gerard was born in Kinkora to the late Aloysius and Sadie (Sherry) Roberts..

Survived by the following brothers and sisters:  Regina Murphy, Eldon Roberts, Marina Whelan, George (Linda) Roberts, Winston Roberts, Marcellus Roberts, by sister-in-law Marjorie Roberts and by many nieces, nephews and special friend Ethel MacDonald.

Predeceased by brothers and sisters Elaine (Ray) Smith, Marjorie (Reg) McLellan, Zeke Roberts, Des (Marie) Roberts, brothers-in-law George Murphy and Don Whelan and by sisters-in-law Jean Roberts and Marilyn Roberts.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, November 24th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m.  Interment to take place in St. Malachy’s Cemetery, Kinkora.  By personal request, there will be no visitation.
