It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Amelia Ruth Ada MacAusland age 65, of Summerside, on Sunday November 16, 2025, with family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside.

Born November 19, 1959 in Harvey, NB; she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Frances (Wright) Laking.

Amelia will be dearly missed by her three daughters Amanda (Jason) O'Brien, Amy, and Tiffany. She was a proud Nannie to Bailey, Aaron, Kelsi, Chloe, Madalyn, Colby and Chandler; great grandson Harlan; brothers Weldon (Deanna), Francis "Larry", Raymond and Eldon (Janet); brothers in law and sisters in law, Geraldine (Steve) Dixon, Darrell (Anne), Lee (Phyllis), Tammy Alizadeh (Paul), Jennifer, Twila (Gerald) Arsenault, April (Blair) Marsh; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents, Amelia was predeceased by her husband Clinton; daughter and son in-law, Noella (Shawn) Roberts; brother Walter; sisters, Patricia LaKing in infancy and Shelia Finnie; parents in-law, Gerald and Jean MacAusland; brother in-law, Geoff MacAusland.

Amelia was a dedicated and devoted staff off the Summerside SuperStore for 26 years. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, November 20th, 2025, then to the United Pentecostal Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. Donations in Ameila’s memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated.
