The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Prince County Hospital in Summerside, PEI, on Friday, October 24th, 2025 of Eleanor Anne Grady (Smith) of Summerside, aged 95 years. 

Eleanor was born in Summerside to the late Clifford and Margaret (Acorn) Smith. Beloved wife of the late Bennie Grady and loving mother of the late Margy (Hal) Birch, Joanne "Jody" (Jean) Bérubé, Barbara (Simon) Arsenault, and Charles "Chuck" (Heather) Grady.  

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Tanya Birch (Stacey), Timmy Gallant (Carah), Geneviève (Brian) Dempsey, Aimee Arsenault (Alan), Melissa Arsenault (John-Paul), Ben Grady, and Drew Grady; great-grandchildren Alex (Jennifer) Dempsey and Octavia and Harlow Gallant; great-great-grandson Beau Dempsey; her sister Kathy Montgomery, sister-in-law Terri Smith, and many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her grandson Grady Gallant, brothers and sisters Billy (Jackie) Smith, Shirley (Murray) Hurlburt, Marg (Stewart) Grady, George (Marion) Smith, Joanne (Don) Wright, Gerald Smith, and brother-in-law George Montgomery. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eleanor's memory can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Foundation. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
