The death occurred peacefully at The Mount Continuing Care Facility on October 15th, 2025 of Alice Jeanette “Jennie” Mayhew of Westmoreland, and formerly of Albany, PEI aged 100. Jennie was born in Albany, PEI to her late parents Roy and Florence Anne (Bell) MacDonald.

Beloved wife of the late Earle Harry Mayhew and loving mother of Aletha (Don) Canfield, Sheila Arsenault, and Carter (Mary) Mayhew.

Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Donde (Darwin) Gillcash, Leah (Derek) French, Philip (Connie) Arsenault, Janalee (Todd Gillis) Canfield, Leanne (Derek) MacDonald, Jolene (Eugene) Howatt, Kara McIsaac, Darla (Dave Van Dyck) Canfield, 14 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Survived by the following sisters: Dorothy Jewel, Ethel MacDonald and Diane (Garnet) Stewart.

Predeceased by brothers Preston, Garnet, John, Hollis, Lloyd and Carl MacDonald, and sisters Blanche Jewel, Verna McKenna, and Wanda Lord.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245, Pope Road, Summerside until Monday October 20th, 2025 where visiting hours will take place from 1:00 pm- 3:00pm.  Funeral Service to take place in the funeral home chapel at 3:30pm.  Interment to follow at North Tryon Presbyterian Cemetery.
