The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on October 6th, 2025 of Maureen Deborah Chappell of Traveller’s Rest aged 71 years. Maureen was born in London, Ontario to her late parents Wesley and Freda (nee Muttart) Gunning.
Beloved mother of Tracy (Jimmy Kyriakakis) Chappell , Jenny (Nate) Dougan, Christa (Mike Gallant) Chappell, and the late Travis Chappell. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Isabella, Domanic, Dylan, and Madelyn.
Survived by her sister Wendy and brother Paul.
Maureen will be deeply missed by all of her aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Maureen worked for 40 years at Scotiabank and will be fondly remembered by her family there.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday October 10th, 2025, 11:00 am where a service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place following the service at North Granville cemetery.
