The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on October 1st, 2025 of Ivan Joseph Bernard of Margate, PE and formerly of Kensington aged 65 years.  Ivan was born in Toronto, Ontario to his late mother Doris (Gallant) and his father Melvin (Angele).

Survived by the following brother and sister Yvonne (Roger) Cormier, Gerard (Sharon) Bernard, step-sister Martha Richard-Arsenault (Paul), step-brothers Maurice Richard, Robert Richard (Barb), Roger Richard (Judy-deceased), sister-in-law Sharon and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother Donald Bernard.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, October 6th,2025 then to the funeral home chapel for a service at 1:30 p.m.  Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ivan’s memory to Mental Health & Addiction Services or Notre Dame Place would be greatly appreciated.  By personal request, there will be no visitation.
